Advocating for the public investment that Whyte Avenue deserves.

From business to community, we’re all in this together and we need your help!

What we are doing

We're working to raise awareness, unite common interests, and push City Council to invest in renewing the public spaces along Whyte Avenue and improve transit access along the corridor. We’re asking for your input through a survey to help understand perceptions of infrastructure repair and to gauge what kind of investment may be required for sidewalks, bus stops, patio spaces, trees, and more. This will help inform and strengthen our advocacy as we head into the 4-year Capital Budget discussions this Fall.

Who we are

We’re a coalition of community groups passionate about Whyte Avenue and its history as a key economic and cultural corridor.

  • The Old Strathcona Business Association and the French Quarter Business Association are business improvement areas where businesses band together to enhance the economic development of their area.

  • Paths for People and Edmonton Transit Riders are non-profit community advocacy groups tasked with building a better transportation system in Edmonton.
