Introducing us

We’re a coalition of community groups passionate about Whyte Avenue and its history as a key economic and cultural corridor. 

• The Old Strathcona Business Association and the French Quarter Business Association are business improvement areas where businesses band together to enhance the economic development of their area. 

• Paths for People and Edmonton Transit Riders are non-profit community advocacy groups tasked with building a better transportation system in Edmonton.

We have collaborated in the past in different ways. But, we have come together as a quartet for the time-limited purpose of advocating for funding within the 2026 Edmonton Municipal Budget. At the end of December 2026 we will wind down this initiative, in the hopes that we have successfully advocated to the City to see funding set aside for BRT and public space renewal along Whyte Avenue.
